Upcoming Exhibitions: Claes Eklundh at Falsterbo konsthall and Enter Art Fair
On August 23, a major solo exhibition of Claes Eklundh’s paintings opens at Falsterbo Konsthall. Curated by the Konsthall’s director, Johan Pettersson, the exhibition focuses on recent and entirely new works. Around 60 pieces will be on view, including large-scale oil paintings and smaller mixed-media works on paper.
Those familiar with Eklundh’s painting and his long, primarily international career will recognize his distinctive, pared-down, and assertive visual language—both in subject and technique. At the same time, the new works reveal a lighter, more playful energy, conveyed through a refreshed color palette.
The exhibition runs through November 9.
In parallel with the Falsterbo show, Claes Eklundh will also be featured at Enter Art Fair in Copenhagen, represented by Carlson Starck Gallery. There, he exhibits alongside artists Henrik Johansson, Julius Nord, and Anna Tedestam. A smaller selection of new works will be presented.
Together with his participation in this spring’s Market Art Fair in Stockholm, these exhibitions mark a return to the Nordic art scene.
